Keavan, Like I mentioned, they do not put them back until they know what has caused them : ) Tucks, hemmoroid cream, and soaking helps. Guest guest
(((((((((((Keavan)))))))) I feel for you! I have some also (thanks to having my children). Mine have troubled me from time to time. I am sure I have some internal ones also. I try to keep a diet with fiber to help. I take stool softeners as needed. A lot of my meds will slow down my bowel system and can make things worse. I can't imagine how hard it is for you! My dad had them for years. When the bleeding began, he had surgery to remove them. He did not have trouble after that. Sitz baths are very good to help ease the discomfort. I am really glad to hear that you are setting an appt with a specialist. It seems like one of those conditions that can be treated successfully. Lots of gentle hugs, Tami Keavan wrote: > First I want to thank everyone who has offered tips and suggestions on how to handle my current problem. Guest guest
Keavan, I so hope you can find the funds for the specialist: that really sounds like the best way to go, and at least you get SOME relief from the suppository: phew! Have you heard of the Poise pads? They're thick and long enough so that you will NOT ruin slacks or trousers from the bleeding, or at least that's been my experience: I hope they help! I'm glad you're getting the higher protein content: you sound as though you're losing a lot of blood and I hope you're getting some really iron rich foods like liver (chicken or beef or turkey). GLAD the low residue diet is helping! Oh yes, please DO keep us posted as you travel this road. Love, Helena ==== Keaven wrote: First I want to thank everyone who has offered tips and suggestions on how to handle my current problem. Guest guest
Keavan, (hugs) you poor thing, that must be miserable . Did you mentioned you're uninsured? I am too, so I can sympathize. I can't speak for what kind of help your State may provide- I would check and see if given the situation, you could get insurance for this. I know here it would be a no (although I know our state does have a cancer insurance thing) and that a specialist would not see an uninsured person without a large deposit (with the ortho I tried to see after they quit paying, for my 3rd visit which was the first where I was responsible, they wanted a thousand dollars down just to let me walk in the office). So, if I did read right that you are uninsured, here is what I would suggest: Go to your emergency room. If it's bad enough (I know, it is sad it has to be worthy of admittance) they have to admit you. Once you're in and taken care of, at least monthly payments are an option. Even if they wouldn't admit, I would still go to my emergency room. They have to see you, you could make payments, and you may get some relief while you try to work this out. If this was the old uninjured me, I wouldn't be saying to do that, but when constant pain and misery become a part of life, financial and credit score goals become useless to a person who hurts all the time. That would be my advice: all based on you being uninsured, my experience with specialists not accepting uninsured, etc. I am praying for you. When I was growing up, my friend's mom had them very bad. We were young but I still remember because it affected the whole family. Her mother was in constant pain and unable to work or do much at all until after her surgery, which did fix it. I know it must be so hard trying to go do all the regular things and seem normal to those around you when you're hurting and self aware of not having anything on your clothes.
