Hi Keavan I am so sorry to hear you are in such misery. Hemorroids are unbearable. My Mom had the Rubber band ligation: A rubber band is placed around the base of the hemorrhoid to cut off the blood supply and kill the tissue back in the 1980's with success. I was just reading information about laser removal and it sounds like it would be excellent. Here is a link about it: http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/surgery-treat-hemorrhoids A friend had them when she was pregnant and sat on ice in the bathtub for relief. You might try that. I hope the webmd link is useful. There is a lot of information online about how to treat hemorrhoids with diet too. It is an excellent idea to see a gastroenterologist, and she can then refer you to a surgeon if necessary. BTW suppositories are supposed to melt after you insert one into your rectum. Have you tried Preparation H? Here is a link about it: http://www.preparationh.com/ Kaylene
