Guest guest
Hi... my name is . I have a rare blood disorder called Acute Intermittent Porphyria which causes severe abdominal, back and leg pain as well as vomiting. It also causes me to suffer with Peripheral Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia and Gastroparesis. I was diagnosed 23 years ago and I need to be hospitalized about every 3 to 6 weeks for pain and nausea control. I am on my 8th mediport because I ran out of veins years ago. I am hoping to learn something, anything about pain control here, or maybe to just have a place to go when I feel like poop, so that I can say, " Hey I feel like poop! " Thanks in advance for listening to my useless rambling~ :/

The members here are very supportive. I have not run out of veins yet but I am a difficult stick and I hate having to have to be stuck multiple times for tests. They have stuck me in my neck before to get medication in me. I hope that you have have good Doctors that support you and assist you in your pain journey. You are welcome here anytime to vent.
