Guest guest
Hi Bennie, I was taught Biofeedback when I was 15 and had broken my neck, LOL. I still use the training, but it does very little to help deal with the chronic pain.though it helps on certain pains..such as when the herniation pain goes into extreme.. I actually have relatively low BP normally..so when mine is NORMAL, it's actually high. I've had to instruct some of the nurses in that...my normal BP runs about 90/68...as an average. If they take my BP and it's over 110/80, I have them go back and check the past BPs, so they'll see that is HIGH for me. They don't really KNOW why my BP is lower.I'm heavy, but I have none of the normal " overweight " diseases.. I've run into a lot of nurses that were great.and a few not so great. But the one that messed up the IV/meds was the worst of the lot... Now when I go into the hospital, I MAKE SURE to tell them, " I don't need your pain meds.I have stronger meds than you can prescribe, I just want to know that there is nothing seriously/deadly wrong with me " . That actually seems to make them move past the " junkie " theory and look at what's wrong. They have still prescribed me meds if they think something else will help better..but I always check with my pharmacist and doctor before I fill it. The only real drawback is that now, after that horrible nurse, when I have chest pain, I just ignore it..I won't go to the hospital and be called names again.I presume it's just chest wall pain and wait for it to go away. It's dangerous, I know..but I am terrified to go back and be called names and hurt again over nothing but " chest wall pain " .
