Guest guest Posted December 28, 2007 Report Share Posted December 28, 2007 Dear Forum, At 05.00p.m on 27.12.2007 a shocking incident came to light in the premises of Community Care Centre (ASHRAYA) run by Lepra Society, Koraput, ORISSA it was found a 04yrs. Old son of a worker was drown in the uncovered low line parapet water tank. Due to gross negligence of the staff who failed to anticipate that a playful child could face such danger and left the tin cover which would have save the Child. Proper steps for work place security were not in place at such a vulnerable place, where PLWHA’s work and get treatment. The widow was leaving her son in the care of the attendants who failed in their duty. This incident makes us all aware of the importance of taking every measure to protect the lives of those people who come with great ray of hope.
