Guest guest
Sweet sister, When I have bronchitis or pneumonia,I sleep in my hubby's recliner. It is easier than laying down. If you have a recliner I suggest sleeping in that. If you don't then prop up your pillows so you are reclining enough to sleep and up enough so you can breathe. If your nose is stuffed up place a drop of tea tree oil under your nose, It will clear it out enough to breathe. You can also use it on your chest like Vicks vapor rub. But if you are still breast feeding the baby boy don't use it on your chest. It can make the baby sick. I also suggest drinking chamomile tea with honey and lemon to help you breathe and relax. Don't use the honey if you are still breast feeding. I was told that it was bad to drink or eat honey while breast feeding by my doctor. It had something to do with the child developing allergies. I can't quite remember the other reasons because I haven't breast fed my sons in 19 years. L.O.L. The fibro fog has affected my long and short time memory.Honey is bad for babies that is the one thing I do remember. Gentle hugs, Ms.Katurah >Miss Donna-Marie wrote: >I am again on a different antibiotics due to Sinus infection, ear infection and a chest infection seems like a never ending cycle. I am tired after not sleeping at all last night. Been told to try and sleep sitting up going to be fun! Anyone got any advice on how to best cope with painful chest and what position is best? The concern with honey is infant botulism. Therefore unpasteurized honey should never be fed to an baby or small child. Back home in Saskatchewan, I always bought pasteurized, creamed, honey. I love the stuff. Here in southern Indiana, I can't find pasteurized honey in any of the grocers. I can find whipped honey at Kroeger's, which is close to creamed, but no pasteurized. I have no idea why. Lyndi
