Guest guest
: Thanks! I am going to need all of the support and friendship that I can get. The waiting for " the other shoe to drop " (the biopsy results) is going to drive me bonkers! Guest guest
Dear Chris: Why do they have to remove part of your colon if they have not even biopsied the polyps yet? My husband had 2 polyps removed during his colonoscopy and they turned out to be benign. It is very common. It seems odd that they are telling you that they have to remove part of your colon over a couple of polyps before they even know if there is any malignancy. They do usually tell you that it is a possibility if the polyps are positive, but it seems that they are jumping the gun a bit. I hope that you do not have to have that done. As for removing the polyps, if they turn out to be benign, it usually involves being a little more invasive with the colonoscopy. Do not get all worked up before you know you have something to get worked up about. It serves no purpose. I know it is very frustrating to have to wait out the news, but try not to panic. It is just as likely that they are benign and that you will not have to have a section of colon removed. Even if it is the worst case scenario and you do have colon cancer, we will help to support you through it. It is a cancer that can be beaten back. Sharon Osborne (Ozzy's wife) had it years ago and made it through. So can you. Hang in there. - PA > wrote: > I got home from the hospital at about 5PM. As you know, I had a colonoscopy performed. Guest guest
I hope your poylps are not cancerous! I have a couple questions for you like you I have no friends. Did anyone stay with you at the hospital? With no friends, how did you get home from the hospital? I have not had to have a procedure done so far, where I could not drive afterwards. My husband *could* take a day off work to be with me, but he is not supportive.

Guest guest
My mother had that same procedure done. They found 8 polyps. None of them were cancerous. She was told that just about everyone can have polyps and that 9 out of 10 times they were benign. So please don't make yourself worry so much. It doesn't matter what the results will be, you will still have many people in this group who will support you including me. Feel free to e-mail or chat with me anytime I am usually up all night due to the meds I take. Gentle hugs, Ms.Katurah

I will think positive thoughts that there is no cancer. Please let us know what the results are when you hear. Gentle hugs, Tami > wrote: > They found three very large polyps in my colon.
