I believe the spelling should be matricectomy rather than matrixectomy, so

therefore, having two matricectomies would be correct based on English rules

of changing the Y to I and adding ES for the plural form.

You can find the spelling of matricectomy in Ortho & Neurology by HPI. And

in Tessiers Surgical word book. It is also in the latest Vera Pyle's 8th

edition.

Matrices is the plural of matrix as well.
