Guest guest
Hi all,Just wondering if anyone has noticed if when you have a routine going such things get done at the same time every day, As up to when I had my little one I was in a routine of up before 8am get dressed washed and do house work, but since I am not getting up in till 10.30 later some times is it because i have gotten out of my routine and need to go back to one.i work a hour a day 4 times a week mon-thurs have I got into a bad habit.Would it help to go back to a routine?? Hi Yes, it would be best to have a reasonable routine. We need to take into account for the bad days. I have also found it difficult to establish a routine now that I have all the time in the world. It seems like it's far to easy to put things off. It is especially difficult because I love to read. I find it easier to get wrapped up in a good book. My Mom was super strict about her household routine, so I often feel like she is " turning over in her grave " or maybe spinning is a better description. Guest guest
That depends on you and your body. A lot of people do well with a planned schedule and others like to see what's coming around the corner when they get to it. I can tell you though that the longer you wait the harder it will be to get back into a routine. So if you think you do better with a routine you need to get back to it as quick as you can. I know that a lot of times with fibro and other chronic issues that it gets all to easy to just stay in your pajamas. I am the world's worst. I hate regular clothes and love my pj's and I only get ready and wear regular clothes when I go to town. I have seen that there are more and more people wearing their pj's in town but I just can't do that. I think the pajama jeans are so ugly and stupid. Don't want to offend anyone but I think it is tacky to wear pj's to town. Not the soft pants and a T-shirt, but the actual pajama sets!!! What are they thinking???? Guest guest
((((((((Donna Marie)))))))) Good to hear from you. Hope you are managing fairly well. I definately find that having a routine helps me. I get up around 8am and take 1/2 my morning pills and check my blood sugar. Then I have coffee and feed the cats. By the time I get showered and dressed, I take the remaining am meds. those are ones I take once a day. The other ones I have to take 3 to 4 times a day. My routine helps me remember to take my meds when I am suppose to. I set a couple errands/chores to accomplish during the day. Sometimes it is a doctor appointment. If I didn't have a routine, I would never get much of anything done. This week has been hectic. I have been trying to complete my online credits to get my emerency medical technican certificate reactivated. I had to do 24 credits where each course is 1 credit and takes about 45 mins. On top of that, my future daughter-in-law and son are having a baby end of June (they are getting married in Nov). I went out and got the shower gifts. (My hubby was along and had to make me stop picking out things. LOL) I have had such brain fog this week that monday I showed up at my doctor's 3 hours earlier than my appointment! I resceduled it for yesterday. Today my chiropactor's office called that I missed the appointment there this am. I am really losing it! Yes I need my routine or I would look like a chicken with its head cut off. <00> Lots of gentle hugs, Tami Donna Marie wrote: > Hi all,Just wondering if anyone has noticed if when you have a routine going such things get done at the same time every day,

It is one of the time management techniques that is more important. Bennie
