Guest guest
I'm sorry that osteo has caused so much damage for you. It seems to do that to some people. I wish doctors would realize that just because it's osteoarthritis doesn't mean it isn't as damaging as some other types of arthritis. It's been called the " wear and tear " arthritis but I don't believe that is completely true. Some of us have damage way beyond the normal wear and tear of a joint. You are proof of that as so many others are. I'm glad you came to join us and I love your ID name. Jennette >Rose wrote: >I am new here. I am 49 and have pretty severe osteoarthritis. I've had one full knee replaced, one uni-compartmental knee, both thumb joints replaced and a week ago today I had my second lower lumbar fusion. I'm healing well and all the pre-surgical pain I had due to nerve compression is gone.

Guest guest
Hi Rose, I also have sevire ostro. Want to share a cute story. I also tripped & shattered my L-knee, which didn't heal right. Probly cause my family expects me to 'Do it all', as they hold down the couch. I fell on a plastic crate, after a few days, knew it was worse then I thought. Went to my G.P. for x-rays, I'v seen him close to 40+ yrs,, were pretty good friends. He see's that my 'Kyposis' has gotten so much worse. I have complained about pain in my upper back for yrs, sometimes I can't wear a bra. Everyone said 'if we can help your lower back, that should help your upper back', YA, I knew better. Well my G.P. was SUPRISED', the curve was half an inch from my spine. He looks at me & says 'What are you going to do'? I don't know, your the Dr. & haven't I complaned the pain between my shoulders for yrs. LOL. Guess he was just so suprised. Do you take anything for your 'Osteo?' I did many yrs ago, now its just Calcium & yougart. No wonder I'v broken so many bones. My back is SCREAMING at me, Computer time is done. I have to eat & rest. Night & sweet dreams. Hugs, Pegi > > >Rose wrote: > > >I am new here. I am 49 and have pretty severe osteoarthritis.
