Dear Friends,

The Nagpur YMCA is organizing a 4 day training on " Street Theatre " with special

reference to HIV/AIDS from 25-28th February 2008 at YMCA Nagpur, 140, Mahatma

Gandhi Road, Nagpur. The training will conducted by Banglanatak.

Nagpur YMCA has been leading NGO working in the field of HIV since 2003. YMCA

has been implementing various programs on HIV prevention, advocacy and care and

support.

Banglanatak dot com, works at grass roots with under developed and marginalized

communities. Since 2000 the team@... has worked across 21000

villages in nineteen states of India. ‘Natak’ or theatre is used

innovatively for educating people on diverse social issues, researching with

community participation and empowering poor and less educated people to

transform their own realities for building a better tomorrow. Banglanatak dot

com won the “Civil Society Award 2006†for outstanding contribution in

HIV/AIDS Communication using Art & Culture. This is a National Award, given by

UNAIDS, NACO and SAATHI.

The registration fee for the training is Rs. 400 for all 4 days (this does not

include accommodation for outstation participants if any). Participants are

limited to 30 only on first come first serve basis. Please contact us for more

Workshop Goal: Capacity building of resource groups in theatre based

communication on HIV/AIDS.
