Guest guest
Hello ... Re: Tendonitis I have had fibromylagia for about 15 years. On November 22 , 2009 I developed walking pneumonia. My doctor prescribed levaquin antibiotic. The next day the lower calves of my legs were quite sore. Within three days, acute tendonitis had spread throughout my Being. Walking was very painful. Lying down was also very painful, because the tendonitis had also attacked my shoulders. I was not aware that the acute Tendonitis was a reaction to the levaquin until I had taken it for about ten days , like my doctor had prescribed. It was quite by accident that I learned that the Levaquin was the drug-from- Hell for me. My doctor was very negligent and careless for prescribing the Levaquin for me. I was a fool for not googling the Levaquin before taking it; however, the walking pneumonia had me feeling very badly. I still have the acute tendonitis and its accompanying pain. My doc that prescribed the levaquin does not seem concerned or interested in helping me. I fact , due to their " buddy system " , no doc shows any interest in me and my levaquin- caused agonies. donpat > wrote: >I had it in one elbow, my right elbow and I had it operated on. I always read the medication insert they attach to the medication and for Levaquin it is in the information and states to stop taking immediately. The FDA also has a website that posts the medications and equipment problems. I am surprised your pharmist did not cousel you as this is a big deal and horrible. You can sign up for the FDA alerts and will know what problems are being reported. I would sign up for the class action suit and make sure that the Doctors notes in your records document your reaction and make sure that you speak to the pharmacists before taking any medications. Well, I hope this resolves somehow and when I have a situation such as this it usually triggers my fibromyagia so take care and let us know how you are doing and what you find out. Make sure that it is posted in your chart that you have a reaction to the Levoquin. This is such a good antibiotic to have these contraindications.
