Guest guest
Hello, all. I have been doing some reading, and ran across a theory that exposure to 'blue light' causes a lack of natural Melatonin production. I don't know how I feel about what I read. I understand it, and it makes logical sense, the way it is explained. But, I would really like to have some feedback on what others think about this. Sometimes, I sleep just fine, yet other days, not so fine. I am not sure what the difference is, but I would like to exhaust all of my options before i succumb to sleep medication. I have tried melatonin, and that works great, but when I take it as a supplement, I seem to require a full 8 hours of sleep or I wake up feeling groggy. So, I suppose that more of my own natural melatonin might help. But, how to be sure? Then, I have also tried GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA works great for me to get sound rest, too. I take GABA from time to time. I have no issues with taking the GABA. However, if this low light theory works, makes sense, or could help me, I am open to that as an option as well. I am always looking for options. The more choices I have, the more control I feel over my life (e.g. my pain, my body, my activities). I tend to get more done and feel more capable even in my low moments, when I feel I have options. And, I become anxious when I don't have options/choices, or when I have exhausted everything and nothing seems to be working. So, if anyone has the time to review, or knows about the low blue light theory, or would like to share with me on or off line, I would be very appreciative. I am thinking of getting some of these glasses to help. Does anyone think they work? Would they be helpful? Worth trying? Has anyone tried them. https://www.lowbluelights.com/products.asp I think I would like to try the glasses, and then the reading light. Because I read books at night sometimes. Thank you in advance for any and all feedback. Jade
