Guest guest
Ms.Katurah, I know exactly what you are going through. I suffer from migraines that come with stroke like symptoms. I have an artery in my brain that is narrower than it should be. My migraines center around it. When I get a migraine, It clamps off the blood flowing through this artery. I lose the use of my left side and my speech. It is called Todd's Paralysis. The length of the paralysis depends on how long the artery is clamped off by the migraine. One time I was taken by Life Flight to Allegheny Hospital in Pittsburgh, an outstanding hospital. They were not even sure what it was. I was in a rehab facility for 3 months. A doctor there figured it out because I was recovering so rapidly. That was a scary time. Being wheeled into that place on Christmas Eve and not knowing if I was coming back out. I was only 53. It happened a second time and I was there for only 6 weeks. Then one time I was in our local hospital with it and a doctor that was there from Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh gave me compazine. Can you believe it - COMPAZINE !!!!! It is a drug used for nausea. IT WORKED. It settled the migraine right down. And i regained the use of my left side within a half hour. So I praise the Lord every day that He had that doctor there that day. I still have them now and then and they always happen during the night. I am on medication for them. Topamax. Hope you can find your solution. Hugs, Colleen

So, you could do this and find the two specialists with the reviews. I do this anytime I need a specialist and then read the reviews and then go to their websites and read their qualifications. Lyndi is a good source of information as she posts about her struggle with migranes. I also did the same for pain management specialists in El Paso on those doctors you were asking about and there were about six, . Good Luck, , and hope you find a doctor who gets you relief. Let us know how you progress. Bennie
