Guest guest
I had Laryngitis last week and completely lost my voice (? never happened before) and by Sunday I was in bad pain on my left back side. I finally went to my GP yesterday (uninsured makes me really try to know it's something he can treat) and have a kidney infection. Never had one of THOSE before either, but I am miserable. He said I would feel better in 24 hours but nope not so far. I'm supposed to go with my friend for her birthday to a Bon Jovi concert tomorrow night so I am PRAYING I feel at least decent enough. Her husband paid hundreds for these good seats and I want to be good company. So I get to the doctor, and find out my last visit a few months ago had a returned check! I never even got anything from my bank. So they would only take cash to pay for that. I drove to an ATM and got out $110 for the check plus fees. Then I had to pee in a cup and all that so my doc charged $95 for that day. Then the pharmacy, $120 and I didn't even FILL everything- and my Antibiotics were given to me, thank you Lord, as samples, all 10. Those UTA blue capsules...40 were $140. I kind of decided to fill 12 of them ($44), 3 days worth. The pharmacist said it was alot like he prescribes for bad infections and I should get more but at LEAST the rest of them are up there still. I would kind of hope she would let me just fill another 12 if I find I need to. Another I didn't fill was my xanax. I'm not sue to fill them for another week but I didnt wanna go back for the refill script and pay another dr visit, so I'll fill those when I run out. Of course, the prescription expires like 30 days on the dot, so if I wait and fill them, then the NEXT refill will expire before I can get it, right? Which means I'll have to go back anyway. Whatever. OH! Brightside: I don't remember where we were talking about Wellbutrin and someone here told me they had generic? Well I asked him, and he wrote me those plus my Celexa, just in case the cost of the Wellbutrin was too high. I went and he had written my script (the one AFTER the 7 day script of a different dose you take first) for like 100 ct with 3 month refills- so that would mean I would have the meds for that for months and months. The pharmacist broke THAT one into 30 pills for me too so it would be cheaper than buying all 100 at once, and it was like $36. I know this is FAR more than the Celexa ($4) but I did go for it! Back before the generic, I took it and it worked SO WELL FOR ME. The Celexa...I hate the side effects, especially my libido, sorry. Celexa kills me in that area, and I HATE THAT, so I had quit taking them anyway. Anyway, the Wellb utrin before was like $150+, so I thought, if it really helps like it did years ago- if I could really feel that " even " again, $36 is a much better cost, so thank you to whoever told me that. Anyway, I ended up spending over $300 to go- and I'm GLAD I did, because a kidney infection is probably gonna land me in the hospital if untreated, right? But I needed that money so bad. I am never gonna get the money KEPT and saved to file bankruptcy. I keep getting served on these bills and I am so scared they'll garnish us before the hospital ever gets around to paying my judgment. Anyway there are no real solutions I'm asking for here, I just REALLY wanted to cry to someone. I don't discuss my finances with people so thanks for listening.
