Guest guest
Cheryl, The bad thing about chronic pain is you can get up and go to a support group much less sit there with others for a long time. For me, support groups depress me and I feel worse because of all the people in pain. When I do something that I am interested in, gardening etc, I am happy but I can't keep my yard up so then that depresses me. It is such a catch 22. The 211 national assistance number will have caregiver support in which people will call you but I want someone who wants to be my friend for a long time. Right now all the people I know in rescue which I volunteer by doing computer research work and are busy and talk about all the places they go. Here is me, in my house talking to dogs, but they don't criticize me. I don't know what the answer is, if I had a family that was not critical, that would be great. Have you looked into support groups in your area? > You could google support groups in your area and see if you can find any. We all need some type of support. Living with chronic pain is very difficult but support is vital to emotional health when living with pain 24/7.
