Guest guest
I hope you take the time to pamper yourself and give yourself permission to let some things go so your mind can rest. What you describe seems so familiar to me. It does take a lot of practice to replace those negative thoughts with better ones and even better if you can not think so much but feel the natural things that are free for our enjoyment. Take life slower. Really listen to what is pleasing to your ears. Find the softest clothes you have and pillows to place where they will relieve pressure where it hurts. I know you probably have tried aromatherapy. It's not a fix for pain but it can help break the cycle your thoughts are taking. I have this soft hippo stuffed animal that is perfect for hugging so that my shoulders relax and some favorite candles. There are times when we get overstimulated with the sounds that some good surf or music using headphones works to remove ourselves from the environment. You aren't alone in this. How do I deal with all of the crap and the pain. I have tried to do many things to try to get better, but it seems nothing works. I just want to cry every second from the pain and the stress that goes with it. I don't know what to do anymore, help me someone I need talk. Guest guest
Dear Jade: It is so very hard to deal with having pain 24/7 with no let up and no relief. The coping mechanisms we all have to learn to live with can be so transitory and can collapse at any time and we are overwhelmed. Do you have a pain management specialist that prescribes medication for your pain? If so, perhaps you can tell him that things have become unbearable and maybe there is something that he can do. Increase your dosage, or prescribe something else to help with the anxiety as well. I hope that you're able to find an answer soon. Meanwhile please keep trying to hang in there. I know it's so easy to say and hard to do. Take care! - PA I'm so stressed out right now and it has a lot to do with my pain and the flashback's I have do to the experience of all pain I have gone through. Hi Jade A counselor will be able to help you with flashbacks. Do you have post traumatic stress disorder from whatever started your pain? I am sorry that you are having a difficult time. My thoughts are with you. Several of the members have given you excellent advice, I hope it helps. Kaylene
