Guest guest
You may be able to find them by putting the CD in the CD drive and then browsing it via 'My Computer'. Otherwise, Start, Run, Browse, and look for something ending in .exe, and usually having a picture of a little blue & white box opened. Lynn stedman's spellchecker CD installation? Hi, I just bought a used Stedman's Spellchecker Plus 2001 CD, but it came without any instructions. Can anyone tell me how to install it? I'm hoping someone out there still has their installation instructions :-). Thanks! S. RT@... Guest guest
What operating system do you use? Window, etc. will depend on how to install. If you have windows, insert the CB and the install window should pop up. If it does not then go to Control panel and then to install and uninstall programs. Follow the directions and it is easy. I hope this will help, I not that computer literate. Connie MT 3 months.
Guest guest
I followed the on-screen prompts and supposedly installed it.....but when I open MS Word up and check my dictionary files, it does not show that the Stedman's dictionary has been added. Is it supposed to? I don't know how else to check and see that it has actually installed. Did anyone else have this probelm when you went to install it? Thanks, S. RT@... Guest guest
My problem is that I have another spellchecker already installed -so I don't know if it's catching the error or if Stedman's is!! I don't want to uninstall the other dictionary until I know for sure that Stedman's is working. I see all my other dictionaries listed there, but not Stedmans. Would someone who has this and is using it with Word mind going to Tools, Options and then click on the " spelling and grammar " tab. Then look under " custom dictionaries " and see if Stedmans is listed. If it is, I have a problem. If it isn't, I probably don't. Sure would appreciate it if someone could do this and let me know! Guest guest
- I don't know if this will help. I use Stedman's and Word 2000. Under the Spelling and Grammar tab Word lists only " custom " in dictionaries. It doesn't identify Stedman's specifically. According to the " Make It Your Own " productivity manual by Stedman's incorporates itself into the main dictionary file that loads with Word. You should be able to check by going to the " edit " tab under custom dictionaries and checking to see what is listed. Dawn C.
