Guest guest
I do not get those kind of headaches. However when my pain gets really bad, I get pain-related vomiting. I have anti-nausea meds that help. Hang in there. I'm having a bad day too. But I know things will get better for both of us very soon. > Ms Donna~Marie > Things at the moment are extremely bad, I feel low and depressed. I had a set back again. Guest guest
Headaches have many causes and there are many types, What you are describing could be migraine or maybe cluster headaches. Any head pain that is as severe as you are having should be evaluated by a neurologist. Ruling out the worst causes and getting to the treatment that is suited for you. I hope you will demand help from your doctor. You'll feel better when this is no longer a mystery. If these headaches are new to you, all the more reason not to waste time. Guest guest
You sound. Like you may have a migraine. I developed them after menopause. They need migraine meds to go away like imitrex. My worst migraine lasted 10 days and no amount of medication could deal with it. a > Ms Donna~Marie wrote > For past few days, I have had a headache which passes but then comes back with a worst one. I woke at 4.30 after only being bed a hour with serve pain and vomiting. For past few days, I have had a headache which passes but then comes back with a worst one. Has anyone else had these? I have tried many pain killers that don't work or knock me out and I wake with same amount of pain as I went to sleep with. Any ideas? I have tried hobbies to try and concentrate on but I get bored of them pretty quick. Hello Ms Donna~Marie, Those headaches you describe are definitely Migraines.I get the exact same headache with the nausea and vomiting.I also get those halo's,when I see them getting bigger it is then that I take the Rel-pax. Have you tried Rel-pax yet? It works wonders for me, kills the migraine right away and it keeps it away too. These pills are very expensive, the only drawback. /New York state
Guest guest
I have had migraines since I hit puberty, and it does sound like you are having migraines. Through trial and error and many years of trying hundreds of meds, we finally found Maxalt. It is a miracle for me, as Imitrex and all the " new migraine cures " worked like water for me. Zomig also helped, but the Maxalt I could take on duty (I was a 911 street paramedic working 24 hr. shifts before my injury) and it doesn't make you drowsy, you don't even have to lie down, although it works faster if you can lie down 10 - 15 minutes. Within 20 minutes I am as good as new, without missing a beat. It is also good for me now with all the narcotics I take, the Maxalt does not exacerbate the effects of those. All it does is get rid of the migraine!! They come in a small 10mg pills you swallow, but I get the Maxalt-MLT (MLT for 'melt'), they dissolve on or under your tongue and enter the bloodstream faster, and you don't need water if you don't have immediate access to it. The taste is very tolerable, pepperminty, but not too strong. So far that's the only thing that works for me, but I must warn you, if you don't have insurance or an Rx plan, they are not cheap. But the work so well for me I would sell everything I on to keep them on hand. Luckily, Medicare and most insurances cover it. Good luck, I hope you find relief soon, my thoughts are with you and sending healing energies your way! I know the torture you are enduring and wish it gone from you now! Peace to you!
