Guest guest
Hi all, Yesterday I posted something on " Yahoo answers. " It was about a certain pain. Then I got to reading some " answered questions " that others posted. Please read below what this person wrote about " headaches. " I find it very interesting and simple to understand. Bill -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tight neck muscles cause your headaches. They go to the top of your head where they connect to muscles going around your head. When the neck muscles get tight they pull the head muscles into pain and that's your headache. The nerves for your eyes go to the back of your head passing next to the neck muscles along the way. When the neck muscles are tight they can press onto the nerves for your eyes to to give you pains on the back of your eyes where the nerve is attached. More pressure will cause the pupils to dilate to make you sensitive to light or for things to be blurry. When your neck muscles are tight they press into the blood vessels to restrict the blood flow leaving your head. That backs up blood in your head to cause the pressure you are feeling around your nose/sinus area and would be messing your sinuses up as well. As the neck muscles connect with most muscles in your head they will cause most of the pain there so freeing those muscles up will get you relief from that pain and here's how to free them up: Neck Release: Place your hands behind your head touching your fingers. Press into the back of your neck with them and hold the pressure on them. After 30 seconds slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended. Release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds. repeat if needed. If your jaw muscles are still sore then you can free them up as well to get you relief for those muscles and here's how to free them up: Jaw muscles: Put your fingers on your head so your thumbs are behind your ears. Press into the back of your jaw next to the skull and hold that pressure. After 30 seconds slowly raise your head until your neck is fully extended then open your mouth as far as you can. Release the pressure but hold your head and mouth like that for another 30 seconds. For both- for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
