Your pain management doctor or doctor should have contacts also. There is a National 211 number that you can call and see if they have any assistance programs in the area. You need to get with your doctor also and call the medicaid 800 number for assistance. Bennie
Guest guest
I know here that it takes about 30 days from application to get medicaid to start. but if you are getting it public welfare, you can call and possibly get an emergency medical coverage. I agree with the post about free medication. Check with our doctor if they know of any clinics. If you have to go to the ER again, as to talk to the medical social worker. Many times they can get you a limited supply of medication through the hospital programs. I know how hard it is to be without your medications. I had to go without mine for 2 months a couple years back. Hope you get relief soon. tami > THERESA wrote: > I've been waiting for medicaid to approve my meds for 7 days now, i've been out of morphine, percocet, everything, had to go to ER yesterday to get pain shots and stomach upset shots, they gave me a fentyl patch to last for 3 days while waiting for medicaid. i have share of cost and will have met my amount but somehow they are not working hard or fast enough, anyone have any ideas? i'm in extreme pain and having withdrawls.
