My daughter suffered severe cankers on her tongue and in her mouth for two months before the doctors found that it was an extremely rare allergic reaction to the generic Wellbutrin that wasn't listed on the information sheet. About that time she also began having trouble with her tonsils (and eventually had them out because they refused to heal even after she stopped the medication) but nothing could be traced back to the medication. Unfortunately, the doctors only told my daughter that it was an allergic reaction, not what ingredient caused it. Bobbie
Guest guest
Yes, some generics do have fillers not in the original medications. The way to find out is to have the pharmacist go over the technical inserts of each medicine and tell you what that ingredient is that is not found in Wellbutrin. It may also be in other medications that your daughter would want to avoid in the future.
