Guest guest
Dear Marta: I have found that the most handy gadget that I have even gotten is my 'reaching' tool. There are several types of them available. I have 3 of them around the house. One on each floor and a rigid one that will pick up heavier items than my 'gopher.' It would be the perfect tool for picking up your puppy pads. You can get them at most WalMart's or Target's in their 'As Seen on TV' sections. They usually carry them at most drugstores, too and Bed Bath and Beyond carries them. Since I also cannot bend anymore because of my spine, these devices are absolutely essential. I probably use mine the most for things that I drop (my hands just do not seem to hold on to stuff like they used to). But if I have to clean up a wet mess on the floor, I just drop the paper towels on the wet place, step on the paper towels and then use the reacher to pick them up and put them into the trash. They wash easily, too. Now that I have them I do not know how I ever got a long without them. - PA > Marta wrote: > Housework is my enemy. Guest guest
I've broken THREE of them already! I wish I could find a heavier duty one that would stand up to normal use, but everyone I've seen is like the GoFer, which is so light that anything heavier than a empty cup breaks it... What is the name of the heavier one you have? Marta wrote; I have found that the most handy gadget that I have even gotten is my 'reaching' tool. There are several types of them available. Marta, Bending is my enemy, I tie the dishtowel around my old mops and then can re-wash those. I have even used the rake to pick up stuff and take to the garbage : ) I do a cute little frog get up. Check out a local home agency as some people turn their stuff in to them. My Dad has seemed to got my grabber, my paisley can, my dragon head cane I found at a yard sale, and my handicapped sticker. Lordy, I hate to get my paisley cane from him and I am getting him his own handicapped sticker. He is 91 and knows better : ) Bennie
