Guest guest
All, I just found when anything with the wording with to offset other medications effects, they denied it. Also, your handbook, as I said, should have the formulary and their requirements to dispense this and appeal a decision. You need one person you need to speak to and usually they will assist you a case manager. You are getting an Rx for a prescription for diagnosed condition this medication treats. ADDHD medication is not a treatment option for Narcolepsy and this safety issue as you discussed should be brought up. I had to get to the approval department of my insurance company, then get a point of contact with a name and ask for the criteria for this medication to be dispensed and why it was refused. When you find out the reasons why not, you can address them. Off formulary, should have a section on how to appeal and off formulary medication. Good Luck and deal only with those than can approve at the insurance company, not the pharmacies. Bennie
