His comment was that it probably wouldn't hurt but that it wouldn't get to where it needs to go on a cellular level so wouldn't actually do anything to bring up complex I function. I also emailed the manufacturer (Enada) about his comment and they agreed that there was no evidence to suggest that it would be helpful in mitochondrial disorders where there is a complex I deficiency. But - that may be only because it was never actually studied.
