I wanted to say hi, as well as to introduce myself to everyone. My real name is

. I am now 28. The long short or it all; to begin with I was in the military

and in 2004 I was in a major car accident breaking my right femur about

mid-shaft. I had complications including a non-union, hardware moving inside

bone, hardware rubbing with movement, constant pain.

I currently am married with a 3 year old daughter. I struggle every day with

pain and trying to do what I want to do without pain limiting my ability to

fumction. I currently am going back to school.

My current medication regime is fentanyl 100mcg patch x1 changed every 48hours,

along with morphine 30mg immediate release tablets x4 for a total of 120mg every

4-6 hours as needed (usually take twice daily on average).

Thank you for allowing me into your Chronic pain group and look forward to

getting to know all of you and sharing our insight and experiences within this

media.

I am so sorry to hear about the pain resulting from this broken bone. Did you

have any trouble convincing doctors that you hurt so terribly? Just curious.

Is your doctor one at the VA?

My husband goes to the VA for all his health care and seems to get more and

better care than I do with civilian doctors.

Has your bone healed properly? What is the diagnosis, the cause of your pain?

You deserve to be as close to pain free as possible, not that we all don't but I

believe anyone that has served should be treated with the utmost care and

respect by the medical community.

Hi ,

Welcome to the group!  I'm sorry you live in chronic pain!

I'm Becky.  I'm 33 years old and live in southern New Mexico with my boyfriend,

2 dogs, 2 cats, and a kitten :-P.  I have head to toe RSDS/CRPS, Occipital

Neuropathy, and a couple other conditions that cause me chronic pain.  It all

started when I was 16 years old in an inter-tubing accident where I flew off an

inter-tube landing sideways on ice almost severing my spinal cord.  Then when I

as 23 years old, I had a knee injury that set off the rest.  Anyway, welcome to

the group!  It's nice to meet you!

Love,

Becky in NM
