Guest guest
*In the meantime, call the manufacturer for the pharmacy assistance program for patients and talk to a specific person to assist you for free medications until you can get this resolved. Bennie Hi Bennie, Thank you! We've done most of that, but there was a few things you suggested, that I will give a try (once more, and try the terminology changes!) and call a few extra places too. I had three sleep studies, and survey, and multiple doctors all with same Dx. as the outcome. I have been trying to get RX. filled through CVS, was who filled it previously, but I also have access to Medco. I have two insurances for prescriptions, and right now they are both saying, " no " and the doctors office has spent way to much time on it, for me to ask them again. That's why he wrote me the letter, and ask me to try and hound them into filling it again. The whole reason for going back on Nuvigil was that is was less expensive than the Provigil, (what the Insurance company asked us to do, less expensive) and thank goodness for that generic next year! Thank you for that information too! I have the savings card for the Nuvigil, but in the past how CVS. was filling it, they billed both insurance companies, and brought my costs down to just a few dollars. (They are doing that with my pain medications too, and saving me hundreds of dollars a year!) I had no idea that you could carry two insurance companies, and keep using a savings card, its been a life saver with all the other expenses going up in the economy now days. I wish I knew that years ago, it's well worth paying two premiums to have that much savings! I did print the help/assistance forms from the link (I think you posted? Someone did a few days ago) and I will start faxing them my letter along with forms, and since I am taking it for what it was intended for, Narcolepsy, hopefully that will be an advantage. I do have CFS, and Chronic Hypersomnolence [People suffering from hypersomnolence sleep an excessive amount of time at night, take long naps during the day, & generally feel drowsy & distracted when awake. This serious neurological sleep disorder that can be permanent] along with the narcolepsy, and CPS, and effects from the medications on top of that, this medicine turned out to be a life-line for me! I had been tired all day and night, and could fall asleep anytime and anywhere, and even while driving, without it, I may not be able to drive. Sometimes a medicine is needed as much as water is needed, in my case, I won't be awake long enough to accomplish anything, I'd could be the poster child for Nuvigil/Provigil medication, to show how well it really works! Thank you for your ideas, and I will start asap, with calls, faxes, and letters. So grateful and appreciative.
