Guest guest
Hello Group! Another newbie to the group, but not so new to pain. It's been about 7 years of pain - the first 3 or so years was manageable and did not affect my life...well, that much. I was still able to work and play hard, but do to a re-injury, the last 4 years have been hell. There's no other way to say it. Anyway.... I was wondering if anyone had success from back surgery? Not sure if I'm still a candidate, but a total disk replacement was offered a few years ago. Has anyone had one? Also, What do you guys think of tens, IF, Muscle Simulators - I have 1 of each and the IF seems to work best for me, but insurance no longer covers it, and I had to switch back to a muscle stimulator, which feels like a glorified tens. They also switched me from Reservoir Fentanyl Patch to Duragesic Matrix - another negative in my mind. I like the design of the new Duragesic, but it just doesn't work like the gel reservoir patch. Anyone one feel this way? Finally, I see several people live in Colorado. What do you guys think of your PM Doc, PT, and other providers. I recently moved here and not sure if I picked correctly. My Doc never suggests therapies, he waits for me to research, and ask him to write a script. He's a nice guy, but ironically, he's in chronic pain and I think it's affecting him. Thanks in advance for all your wisdom and insights - Scubie -
