Guest guest
Becky In our auto accident we lived in Oregon but were injured in southern California. Every time we made the trip to court they would set it over and we would make the 1,000 mile trip home. This was our own insurance company - Farmer's since the guy who hit us had stolen the car. After 4 years of this our own insurance company fought us until we were getting sick from stress and our injuries were not healing. We finally settled for just the cost of medical expenses which were over $150,000 - nothing for the permanent disability. The opposing side always wants to delay and deny. Don't let then win if you can stay strong.....and Kudos to you for testifying - many women wont!! --- Rebbecca Nix wrote: > > Hello everyone, > > Well, the trial that was set for today for me to testify against the guy who raped me was continued again. It got continued right as I was supposed to testify, just after opening statements because the defense team wanted to present evidence that they hadn't motioned before trial. So they have to have a motion hearing to get the evidence approved. I cannot say what the evidence is even though I know, though. So, as the DA Advocate said, " Nothing like a formal dress rehearsal " lol. I'm still stressed and whatnot from the sitting and waiting part. But, I will be ok. Just thought I would let you know. Guest guest
Becky, I did not know, but I hope that scum of a person gets what he has coming to him. I can't even imagine having to go through a trial like that. Do everything you know to ease your stress. I wish I could give you a hug. Rape trials are so iffy and tend to be on the messy side. I hope they get the man who hurt you off the streets for a long time. Lots of luv and hugs Lyndi

Guest guest
Thanks. I don't want to testify, I don't want to see him. But, no one should have to go through this. I want to make sure no one does. Love, Becky in NM myhealingjourney wrote: The opposing side always wants to delay and deny. Guest guest
Becky, Do you have rape counselor ? They really help. I also send you good thoughts, prayers and hugs. Good Luck and hope this is over with soon. Ditto what Jenette says. Bennie > Thank you, Jennette . It was tough and I was pretty messed up emotionally and physically from it.
