Guest guest
There are books about the body healing itself. I know of one author, Gregg Braden, who talks about the miracles of the body healing itself in terms of quantum physics and spirituality. It is not a religious book, more new-age-y, but the science is beginning to coincide with these beliefs. His book is called " The Spontaneous Healing of Belief " and is available pretty much anywhere books are sold (e.g., & Noble, Borders, Amazon, eBay, Alibris, etc.). This book talks about mind over matter, and how the body can heal itself if you believe it can. However, I think it is also important to note that the mind can only do so much, and I think that we cannot (and should not) depend solely on our minds to heal our pains. As someone said, the mind can only block out so much pain before it begins to wear on us. Someone also mentioned blackouts because of pain. Bottom line, I think it would be a good read, although its claims should be taken with a grain of salt (as in, trust your medical professionals and the research that *does* exist, and conduct a thorough search of available treatments yourself, before putting all your faith into what this--or any--author claims). I have not yet read the book myself, but it is on my to-read list. I hope this helps someone. e.h. > Desert Fire wrote: > So they only had to put one stint inside instead of three. Guest guest
miracle All: I have been good girl as I have tried to keep my fingers from typing what I am going to so please receive it with love. I myself have seen an incident I called a miracle in my life. My Doctors told me I could not have kids and one percent, I had my son, a miracle but not the one I said before but will not share that one because it is controversial. I have seen survivor shows that people should be dead but somehow are alive, I lost eight units of blood when my son was born and by artery was burst, miracle or some good care eventually? I had a near death experience with this and it was quite pleasant and I did see myself outside my body with a blood pressure machine that registered 70/40, there was a warm tanning type light or floating on an air mattress in a swimming pool. I was in shock E. Hyland wrote: > There are books about the body healing itself. Guest guest
A few year ago, my regular doctor freaked out when she noticed that my heart was considerably larger than she felt was normal. Being that I'm heavy, have chronic pain (little exercise) and a family history of diabetes and heart disease, she sent me to a cardiologist. They first did a stress test, which was interesting because they couldn't get my heart rate up to what they needed, even speeding up the treadmill and adding more incline. They finally got it up to the required level after almost 45 minutes (I thought I was going to die from the pain), it reached 1 point above what they needed. The cardiologist was shocked to learn that despite being 3 times larger than normal and all my other issues, including a prolapsed mitrovalve, my stress test was that of a 25 year old (I'm 42) at perfect weight. Due to the other issues, they sent me to a place to have a test done which they thread a camera up through the femoral artery to " see " the heart. What they found made the cardiac surgeon have me sign a release so he could use it to show others. My heart had weakening in several major veins/arteries, but it RE-ROUTED itself to others to by-pass the damaged veins/arteries. The doctor said that for some reason, my stem cells were re-working themselves to fulfill my bodies needs. It's not unusual for children to do this, but for a 40 year old woman, it's remarkable apparently. I'm not sure what the scientific terms were, but that was the gist of it: the vein/artery (can't remember which in particular) was damaged, so my body re-routed it and the damaged one died off. There were 7 cardiac guys that insisted on coming in to see the results while I was there. Marta > E. H. wrote: > There are books about the body healing itself. Guest guest
All, I have also had a near death experience, as well as an out of body experience. The near death experience was incredible, and the out of body experience was interesting. I am very lucky to be alive also; I definitely consider it a miracle that I am. Because I " should " be dead, but I am not. Also, my uncle should be dead also, but he is alive. This is also another miracle in my and in my family's opinions. I guess whether or not something is a miracle may be dependent on one's perspective. Even if one doesn't believe in miracles, however, it is still reasonable to agree that there is a lot of " luck " involved. I personally do believe in miracles, and in fate. But that's just me. I know that there are a lot of differing opinions in the world, and on this list, and I do respect them all. Thank you for sharing your experience, Bennie. It really touched me. :-) > Bennie wrote: > I myself have seen an incident I called a miracle in my life.

I'm glad you respect all the opinions :-) I've been clinically dead twice - no out of body anythings - absolutely nothing. It was like no time passed. Like Bennie, I was never supposed to have kids, but managed to have two. I'd have bled to death with the first one, if it hadn't been for the good people who donate blood and the medical people, who had learned how to administer it and how to stop the bleeding. I used to be quite spiritually inclined, but as I got older and read more and travelled more, I realized I no longer believed in higher beings. Throughout my life, I had only been going by what I had been taught to believe by my parents, who had been taught the same by their parents. I truly enjoy being on my own path. I figure that coincidences will always be coincidences. :-) Lyndi
Guest guest
You hold the key to eliminating the need for bypass surgeries. Marta, The body is an amazing thing and researchers used to think that the nerves could not regenerate, the brain compensate when one side id damaged. I have been lucky enough to see some of this. I mean, if people do not mind maggots (they are sterilized) placed in open wounds that they have been told their skin would not grow back together, they have laid down skin and filled it in and healed. I am a curious person and know there is someone out there that will say, Bennie you have that piece of herniated disc lying on a irritated nerve and I just called their office, they left at 4:30 but they got a very " blunt " message. The ER doctor said I can't believe you neugosurgeon did not do a complete evaluation EMG, bone scan etc and I did the research and he is right so some " young nurse " will be running around tomorrow saying " Ms is calling, doesn't she get it " Well, I always try to respect them but when I ask some of his young staff where they trained, " They giggle and state : advertising etc, something that has nothing to do wit the medical field. http://medicalxpress.com/news/2011-06-biomaterial-aids-nerve-regeneration.html has some really neat information on nerve regeneration and other spinal repairs. My left eye compensated for my rt eye for years but the eye doctor said I wore it down. Oh well, I keep reading. Bennie
Guest guest
> Lyndi wrote: > I figure that coincidences will always be coincidences. :-) Lyndi, This series " Wormhole theories " or whatever with Freeman is really interesting giving perspectives about the metaphysical, physics and other communities. It has shown some research on the brain that really amazed me. I had known about the primitive brain and it touches on some people who regrow parts of their brain (my layperson explanation) Through the Wormhole with Freeman: God Theories: http://www.ndespace.org/video/through-the-wormhole-with Now, for all the religions, I have to respect wherever I live and when I lived in Japan and a young woman stated they practice Christianity, they gave presents at Christmas, I said that was charitable . When my housekeeper who was in her 70's put water and food out in front of my cat's urn when he died as she said he would need it for his journey to the beyond, I allowed it to be there forty days. I did also rub the Fertility God's Buddha belly (and got pregnant a month later after ten year of trying) had two calls for adoption but would have to stayed five years longer and I wanted to go home. I would not worship at the shrines or jangle the rope, as I do not believe that way but respect those who did. I thought I had made an international incident as I took a picture of one of the monk in passing and they believe it takes their spirit away. Did I say, Oh God save me when that guy pulled out in front of me and have spent many nights " Thinking of many of you on this group " Okay, I prayed for you Lyndi and if you don't like it, well just " give me a hug " lol. I believe in " miracles " , one of them is that I found this group and the woman, who is very busy, and may not read this, saved me. She would e-mail me nightly and encourage me and daily and make sure my job was not harassing me too much and also sent here love and sincere wishes for me to do well, an it meant the world to m as I didn't care if I lived or not and really I am worth more dead than alive. I have seen a couple of really strange things that i will never know why they happened. Won't share them here as i know you guys already think I am nuts, but this world is awesome. I have asked the question to some in this group, Do you fly and those that do, know what I mean. I have not done in it in a long time but wish I would. I blurted that out in an open room somewhere I had gone for a meeting and about four people said, " Oh wow, you mean you do also ? " The rest just made sure they did not sit by us the rest of the meeting. This wormhole program this weekend showed some physicists proving the mind can emit neurons that others can accept to move numbers also, so Lyndi, I sure wish you would send those feeling lucky Lotto numbers, Ha. While you are at it, move my hardware where it won't hurt. Bennie *Most recently when I went to my Dads to care from him, he lives on a farm with no street lights and you can seem like you can reach and touch the stars and this " satellite " as my Dad calls it always seems to smaller and then larger and then repeats this process. I logically explained this to my husband and asked him to look it up on the NASA night skies or other internet sites and he couldn't locate it and he is nerd, objective to a fault, but when he came to pick me up and went out at night and my Dad showed him " that there " satellite, my husband immediately wanted to go in the house. Call King, Lyndi. Bennie
Guest guest
I'm not a Christian, though I respect everyone's religion, especially since almost every religion boils down to the same thing: treat others as you want to be treated, what you do has consequences, etc. Though I separate religion from other things (Empathy, Mediumship, telepathy, lucid dreaming and OBEs), I have a vast curiosity about many things. I guess I'm a " nook " sorta person, who puts different things in little nooks. For instance, while I'm a Pagan, I don't feel that my other abilities are connected to my religion, though I use them in my worship sometimes. I think that you really never start to grow old until you stop learning. And my tastes are eclectic, I love learning about things, even if they are not " normal " , LOL.
