I have some more websites to add to the list:

www.rxlist.com - provides info on medications (similar to the PDR website)

http://pain-topics.org - provides TONS of resources on pain management, and the

link was suggested to me by Bennie (thanks Bennie!!)

Hope these help, too,

e.h.

Rix,

In an effort to help, I can only share what I have researched along with others

and they should be in the archives. The American Pain Foundation is a very

comprehensive site that has done and assisted greatly with lobbying for

legislature for The American Pain Act and has special categories for the

military and veterans.

If you go to their website, Learning About Pain, has a section on Target your

Pain and Publications, and also a Forum. They have a section on finding a

provider.

There is also : http://www.painedu.org/resources.asp but many of these websites

are sponsored by medication or organizations that are out to sell something like

Medtronics etc.

I have found, pain topics.org, The American Foundation for Pain, and the

Survival Guide for Intractable Pain Patients by Dr. Forest Tenent to be the best

resouces I have found. The best support forum is ours, chronic pain group.

Web Md, Mayo Clinic, Spine Universe, Spine Health all have sections for

different problems. The National Fibromylagia Association,

http://www.rarediseases.org/

National Association for Rare Diseases, and then by typing in a specific problem

you have such as CRPS or RPS and then Association or Foundation, you can

usually find their organizations.

For lab reports : http://labtestsonline.org/understanding/

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/about

PubMed Health is a consumer health Web site produced by the National Center for

Biotechnology Information (NCBI), a division of the National Library of Medicine

(NLM) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). PubMed Health provides

up-to-date information on diseases, conditions, injuries, drugs, supplements,

treatment options, and healthy living, with a special focus on comparative

effectiveness research from institutions around the world.

I am sure others have their favorites and those that are about their diagnosis.

I have spent many hours researching as have others and in the archives are many

articles.

Hope this helps. Bennie
