Moderator Comment. it sounds like it's time for you to email your

friends and quit using up what money you get (for free) for phone calls! Listen

to what the folks at Catholic Charities are telling you. They know what they

are talking about. They do care, but they can't help you if you won't follow

their sensible instructions. If you don't follow their instructions, they have

every right to drop you as a consumer. You don't have to choose between friends

and food. Use your email, not the phone. Or get your friends to phone you -

they likely have more money than you do.

It is now 11:27AM PST

I just had my fat no good rear end chewed out by Catholic Charities!!

They yelled at me about all of the long distance phone calls that I make. I

told them that I cannot help it that all of my friends live outside of CA!! They

did not care.

So, I now must make a choice. Friends or food. I am once again out of

food.

I cannot afford Meals on Wheels. That is $52/week!! All of the checks

that I've received from Catholic Charities lately have been $40!! How can a

person survive on that small amount of money??

I also MUST buy a new battery for my truck. That battery will cost over $100!!

I've used all of my emergency calls to AAA for the year because of the battery!!

I don't know what your income or budget allows, but we use pre paid cell phone

from Walmart called Straight Talk. For 30 dollars a month you get 1000 min of

talk time and for 45 dollars a month you get unlimited talk text and web. If

you have high speed connection on your pc for 19 dollars a year you can talk all

you want in the us and canada with magic jack and there's another called net

talk that is a little more per year 30 dollars I think which provides the same.

free us . We use magic jack but want to try the net talk because the pc doesn't

have to be logged on to the internet to use the phone.

Sounds like you could use some help with your budgeting, something most everyone

has trouble with these days.
