Guest guest
Thanks, Ken. Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry your surgery didn't work. I understand trying anything to get rid of the pain. Have you found anything that helps now? Ken wrote: It sounds like you have more or less exactly what I had. The epidurals I have had have indeed only been temporary, lasted about 6 weeks. Ken, I have slipped disc with no impingement. It sounds like you have have impingement which means swelling or the vertabrae is impinging on a nerve. I have had RAZ procedure (they remove scar tissue) through an outpatient procedure, releasing the pressure. I have had the epidural shots but realize after three, and they don't work, then something else needs to be done. You need to see a spinal specialist to see if they can do microsurgery or something else conservative. This will not go away so you will need a specialist to follow you. I would also make sure you get a second opinion if surgery is suggested. So, go to the specialist and ask your option. I would not go to a chiopractor because this might cause more problems. Manipulation at this time might harm or make your condition worse. If it is inflammatory, getting the swelling down is important, if not, there are surgical options that can be microsurgery if you have impingement. Good Luck, let us know what the specialist says.
