Guest guest
I believe Prozac can cause irrational thinking. Was she having this issue prior to taking Prozac? Do you think the Prozac made it worse if so? If she needs an antidepressant/anxiety prescription, there are many others to try. Hi Everyone Here is more information about Prozac: http://www.drugs.com/prozac.html Anyone who begins a new medication, especially a psych, must be very careful of the possible serious, even deadly side affects. If possible have someone you live with, or at least see daily observe any changes in your behavior. Do not hesitate to contact your doctor immediately if any of these symptoms occur. I have Bipolar disorder and it took a very long time for an appropriate diagnosis, and treatment. I was rarely manic, so the doctor only observed, and I only mention the depression and my anxiety problems. I'm am not picking on Prozac, it and all anti-depressants caused severe mood swings for me. Finally, several anti-seizure medications have given me the best results. This was only my personal experience, I am not diagnosing anyone, just reminding folks to be very careful. Talk to your doctor, and your pharmacist. Your pharmacist can be your best friend. Several members have had their lives saved by an observant pharmacist and saw that their new medication, plus one they were already taking would cause a serious or deadly reaction. Counseling is essential too. Kaylene
Guest guest
Kaylene is right. Everyone reacts to medication differently. Remember that with every medication there is always a group of test subjects that had adverse reactions to the medication. I have been through that with a few medications. No one should ever feel they need to tolerate adverse side effects. some mild side effects can be common, but if they are extremely troublesome or concerning, you need to talk to the prescribing doctor about it. Gentle hugs to all, Tami
