You're a sweetie Kaylene. However, that's my sister from Fort Saskatchewan, AB, who died a few years ago. You helped me through that one privately. I've no more sisters left now; just one brother. He turned 60 this year and is a retired teacher in Saskatchewan. He had both his knees replaced, but had them done one at a time. (I told him about your experience and he decided not to go for a double). Since he had both knees replaced, he has been a regular volunteer for Meals on Wheels, he rides his huge motorcycle all summer long and in the winter, drives to British Columbia and ski's like a fiend all day in Whistler, BC. He quit smoking a long time ago and exercises regularly. He's always about 50 pounds overweight though, because he and his wife are both great cooks and he likes to eat. He also likes a bit too much wine with his meals. :-) His arthritis gives him the gears, but since he likes outdoor sports so much, he puts up with the pain and just keeps going. The knees were the absolute worst for arthritis, so with that problem gone, his life is so much better. I hope he lives to be at least 90. He's having such a good time. Guest guest
Lyndi, I'm sorry to hear about your Sister's death. I know it's something that takes a long time to get over, or to stop thinking about. My Mom died in 12/09, there are still many times, I'll see a 'Commercial', or think about something. I still reach for the phone to call Mom to tell her to watch for it, so we can laugh about it, together. Before I realize 'Mom is no longer here', I don't know when that will stop, or when I want it to stop. I still 'tell' her in my own way & 'laugh' with her in my own way, please don't think, I'm a 'nut case', I'm really not. Old habit's are hard to break. Yes, I'm seeing a Counselor, because of Mom's death & other things that has happened in my life. Maybe I am a little 'nuttie', but I am a 'Happy nut case'. LOL. I was talking with my 'Pain Dr.' about woman, dying of Heart Problems. He said Woman are more likely, to die of Heart Problems, then men. Mom's death was too fresh for me to ask him. Why that is, a friend had also died of Heart Problems, soon after Mom. 'Cheryl' had many other things wrong with her, but her Heart wasn't one of them. Thanks for alerting all of us, of what dangers, to look out for taking our 'Meds', can do to us. Sorry your Sister, was our 'Wake-up' call. Love to you & your Family, Pegi > Lyndi wrote: > According to the coroner, Meloxicam was the deciding factor in my young sister dying from a massive coronary. I still miss her. She would have loved computer card games, a self cleaning oven, " Law and Order, " and cars with air conditioning as a standard feature.:-) Lyndi

Also the other moderators are great doing this to assist us while dealing with pain. We forget to say Thank you Thank You. I did not want to list the other moderators names without their permission and I appreciate them also. Bennie ,
Guest guest
I I feel like a member in group of Parliament saying Hear Hear, ttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/ is a book mark I have to look up medications and supplements which is very thorough and easy to read, so, I agree, all.
