Val, Probably Prometrium, it's micronized progesterone, used for secondary

amenorrhea and to prevent endometrial hyperplasia. Margaret

>>> " valpie1 " 07/09/02 04:25PM >>>

Continued normal FSH. Patient has mother and now sister with uterine cancer.

Will cycle her on s/l *Prometrin* 200 mg q.d. for 12 days.

This sounds so familiar, but I just can't get it. Anyone know?

Thanks, Val

Deb, The two that come to my mind immediately would be Glucotrol for diabetes or

Lipitor for high cholesterol. Margaret

This doctor is listing this patient's meds and he pronounces this drug Lipitrol.

Has anybody ever heard of that? Thanks, Deb

Sure you aren't hearing Lipitor? I have a 2002 PDR and it doesn't show anything

close, except for Lipitor. ANYONE?

Hi, Marsha here. I wonder if the good doc might be saying Lipitor. You

know how docs love to butcher the pronunciation of drugs, terms, procedures,

etc. Is there an HPI? If so, does it give any clue to the patient's

problem? Does the good doc list a past medical history before the list of

meds that he/she might be giving? These are things that might give a clue

to what the person is trying to say. Just thought this would help.
