Guest guest
I've been on SSDI for several years so I already reduced my income significantly. I have inexpensive rent and it's city rent controlled but I live in a very expensive city. The public pool program here is not $3/visit. And I will definitely have to give up my car, garage space live as cheaply as possible.
Guest guest
I feel for you . I had to let my car go, my motorcycle go and sobbed and sobbed. Now, I have a junk truck that doesn't always run, but it is paid for. I asked if I could join the local senior center at my young age because i was disabled and they Sure. Our town didn't have the funds this year to open the community pool. However, the senior center obtained use of another pool. It took me over a year 'To get out of my own way.' I am youngish, I didn't ask for this, to be injured, nor to need anyone for anything. I have been fiercely independent since I was 5 years years old when i wanted to tie my own shoes. My mother would verify that no one was allowed near me until I got it. That's just how I am wired. As i type this, i recognize that i still struggle with accepting my limitations. Sometimes, it is because i can do one activity one day, yet not the next. It is just frustrating. On top of all of that, I have private investigators filming me for my private insurers long term disability. I feel violated 24/7. Yet, I still put my body/overall health first. My goal is to minimize pain given the resources around me that I can afford. I am not happy that sometimes I have to reach far outside of my comfort zone to get what I need. I have moved to an affordable area that has a different culture than in New Orleans. It has been a difficult transition. And I am faced with the possibility of no income, if my private insurer pulls benefits before I am awarded SSDI. I am thankful for the few people that have been placed in my path who are willing to help me. Ellen > wrote: > I've been on SSDI for several years so I already reduced my income significantly.
