Hi Amy

The band " should " just fall into place when you put it on. I DOUBT

seriously that you are putting it on wrong. If is having

red spots that do not fade then the band needs adjusting, and there

is no arguing that. Redspots that do not go away within one hr are

skin breakdown material that will cause to be out of the

helmet for days at best. Your ortho should make you feel more than

welcome to call anytime for issues like this. Please let us know

how it goes, and what they will do about it. I would not put the

band back on if it is causing the red marks beyond the hr point.
