Guest guest
My youngest daughter has had episodes all of her life that resemble the strokelike episodes and headaches that are seen with MELAS, although she does not have the deletion for MELAS. She actually has a complex IV deficiency. In any case, she is very very photosensitive, and does a lot of weird squinting with her eyes because of this photosensitivity (light sensitivity). She can have more trouble at certain times than others and it can be anything from the sunlight to the TV that can cause the reaction.
