Guest guest
Dear Ellen, I am to back off the Savella until I am off of it. I am not sure of the next step. I have taken Neurontin, Lyrica, and Cymbalta. The first stopped working, the second never worked, and the third was pretty good for depression but I had to stop because of heavy sweats. My pain doctor will not prescribe anything outside of the approve list of drugs for fibromyalgia. The only option I have left if I stay with my pain doctor is to re-try Cymbalta which I am unsure of right now. I think I will make an appointment with my primary doctor once he is back from vacation and discuss things over with him. I do hope your experience on Savella is not at all like mine was and it helps you. It can start rough for some like it did me and for others side effects go away and the medicine kicks in. I did a whole bunch of research and read posts by those who took Savella. I do not believe I would have stuck with it if I had not known this information beforehand. It is a good idea to know the good as well as the bad. Christy > Ellen wrote: > Please keep me posted as I begin savella in 2 days. I plan to take motion sickness pills for the first week. I think I take the other option and get a different pain doctor. Not one of those fibromyalgia drugs did me a whit of good. In fact, each of them caused me harm. There are some wicked side effects with those medications. If you can find something safer and cheaper, the doctor should be willing to try it. My two cents of course. Everyone else's mileage may differ, <grin> Lyndi
Guest guest
I agree, fibromyalgia drugs can definitely be more of a curse than a blessing. I have had no effect from some of them and horrid effects from others. I'm sure some people couldn't live without them, but they've been useless for me. Guest guest
I start Savella tomorrow. Wish me luck. I plan on taking it with motion sickness pills. I can no longer afford Cymbalta. It worked great for me after the side/effects went away after 2 weeks. It sucks to be poor. But I am rich in Faith. Ellen-Hangin in
