Guest guest
With me, when I'd move, to turn over, even to simply re-adjust my legs or body, it would hurt enough to wake me up. Not always to full alertness, which was why it hadn't been noticed before, but enough that I'd actually CRY when I was trying to get comfortable. It was also stopping me from staying in REM sleep, which meant that I wasn't getting the rest and recuperation times that sleep usually offers. I've had some medical people come up with some REALLY off the wall comments. Makes you wonder if all medical schools use the same books, LOL Marta >Bennie wrote: Marta, >I actually had a medical personnel tell me that " pain " cannot wake you up if you were asleep, dumbest remark a person could make. I cause myself muscle spasms by trying to get in a position I do not hurt, " straightening " my leg out to where it gets " stuck " in that postion and I do not stretch it enough. >I also had a sleep study and it is amazing seeing how much movement we make during the night even if we think we are still. It has been so bad that my husband has to go straighten my legs. So, I do get woke up from my sleep. Bennie >
