Guest guest
All, My Sleep Specialist asked me this specific question (vivid nightmares ) and told me not to worry about it since I did not have them from the things I had happened to me. I had someone break into my home many years ago and I talked him out of my 357 that was loaded and a large pillowcase in the other hand with meds I had in my house, camera lenses and other stuff the guy can hock. This was just after an auto accident that a guy came down the wrong side of the highway towards me and I moved over and it killed six teenagers going to six flags in Dallas, and then I am supposed to be leaving for Japan in twelve three weeks. I stayed up nights, knowing that the guy down the road, was the guy let in my house by the kid who lived in my apt in by back yard and had a key. I came home in my military uniform and scared this guy who was high as a kite and quietly talked him out of my gun and he ran, I reached up to fire at him and could not shot him. He cut his hair and they brought pictures out for an ID instead of line up. He cut his hair all off and it is hard to identify him in pictures but I knew this was him that lived down the street and I went and left my card for him if he needed to contact me but I have someone watching my house, keep his kids out of my yard, and don't him or my wife every set foot in my yard or I will not hesitate using my weapon, tauzer, or pepper spray. Although scared, I talked to my Chaplin (whom it easy to talk to and his wife),friends came over ever night, and there was someone sitting by my bedside every-night because the police said they could not pick up any fingerprints. The best thing that happened that I was in Japan three years and felt safe but when I came back home I had to deal with this fear again which I thought had left and I had to do a deposition for the family members who had names and felt sad (Survivors Guilt) and the guy that caused this accident was working for a company and others got a million (and they should), I chose not to sue. I should have as that would have been the start of my back injury. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can be initiated from all sorts of trauma to include pain so don't ever think you cannot be helped from medication for that if you need it. Good thoughts and prayers for your visit. I did have to push the experiences way back in my mind . I did not know the names of the people who died in the crash and when their families were at the table giving the names of who they were representing, I started crying uncontrollable sa I had stayedaway from making them personal. The guy who was driving and hit and killed five people had a wife and three month old and was only 23, my son's age. I do have thoughts that come forward but I am not near the scene. This guy had taken Heroin and was too high to be driving. Take Care, Ellen, and I am thinking of you. Bennie
