Guest guest
Hi I'm Tim and 1st time to this list. I've been trying to get help since March, a problem for years. Currently at a hospital outpatient physical rehab place a PT (physical therapist) JUST NOW told me my lower back is too lose and too weak. The yoga I told everyone I was doing was doing the harm. I was given an EMG test when I wasn't having the pain and fear it was just a painful waist. They said nerve damage on the left leg but not the right. I have pain from 0-7 on the right that comes and goes every day. And never any on the left. I was not asked if I was in any pain when I had the test. I bet I will not be asked if i had pain when tested when a Dr meets with me on Friday about the test. They might not know their left from right. Before it started a MD asked me were you told what this test is like and said, " No " a minute later said, " Well? " and he said I'm sorry I thought you said yes. Maybe I should have walked out then. If I was told how painful the EMG test would be before hand I could have taken my 3 kinds of pain killers early and not have been as traumatized. When I'm not told she comes off as a sadistic predator. Friday I may tell the MD that. The 4 kinds of pain pills I am taking is for PHN (nerve damage from shingles) on the head for 7 years. Isn't the leg muscle pain a good indication of a pinched nerve? Also the pain is in the front as I told everyone but all the testing was in the back. It took the 4th appointment before anyone gave me one word of what to do or not do. It took the 5th appointment with a stand in PT to tell me my lower back was too lose and stop stretching. I can hope she is right. I asked to have my next appointment switched to her but told she's only with the inpatient department. So I asked for anyone new. Any advice?
