Sub: Queries about roll out of 2nd line ART by NACO in India.

Dear Sir,

I would like to take the privilege to put up my humble queries as a

man living with HIV on 2nd line ART from 2005 and as a representative

of my colleagues in West Bengal and in other states on 2nd line ART.

1) Which combination of drugs for 2nd line ART, is NACO providing at

present?

2) How many people are getting 2nd line ART at present from Mumbai and Chennai

ART Centers?

3) From which manufacturers NACO is buying 2nd line ART?

4) How many people in India require 2nd line ART at present?

5) What is the exact date of 2nd phase roll out and from which ART

Centers?

6) What is NACO's view to support those people like me, who started 2nd line

before or during the initial stages of the roll out of 1st line by NACO?

7) Does NACO have an operational guideline for roll out of 2nd line ART (I

failed to find it on NACO's official website)? Please share the soft copy of

this guideline with us and make it public on the website.
