Well, 3 weeks into my fiancé's diet (he's lost 12 pounds!) I am up & running!

This morning was my first day!

Lowdown: no breakfast, lots of water throughout the whole day & evening, lunch

was a Mc's Double-Quarter-Pounder (no bun/onions/ketchup/mustard, but I

did eat the 2 pickles) cut up & eaten with a fork & knife, 1 can of Diet Sprite,

dinner was a Caesar Side Salad from 's (no croutons, maybe 1/2 the

dressing, & I did eat the bacon bits), snack when I finally got home tonight at

10:30 p.m. was 2/3 slice of muenster cheese (don't ask!), 3 teaspoons of chicken

salad w/miracle whip light, @ 1 tbsp. of crunchy peanut butter, & about 10 tiny

sunflower seeds.

Was that bad? Did I really start my first day or was that too much? I have the

LTS (strips) but am obviously not in ketosis yet, therefore do not want to waste

them. I figure I will use them on maybe the 3rd or 4th day? I weighed and

measured myself tonight and will do so again in about a week.

I did read the book (just finished chapter 22 - vitamins) but for induction I

wasn't sure if I could eat mcdy's w/no bread or that kind of salad. I bought a

couple of carb counter (as well as other fat/protein/etc.) books (one is

specifically for fast food!) but I find it difficult to figure out the carb

content of a sandwich with no bread! Thanks for any help, guys! I am glad to

finally join the crowds :-)
