Guest guest
Well, we also had a check up yesterday. We were there for almost 4 hours! I hate that it takes so long, our old clinic was usually under an hour for both kids. All that waiting to find out our kids are healthy! (Well besides those nasty pseudo bugs...) The good news was that we finally met with the GI doc and he said our kids' liver enzymes were " perfectly normal " . I was so happy, because on the printout it says they are slightly high. I made him look again, and he said they aren't. SO, he said to stop the Actigall(URSO). Do any of you have kids on this? Our old cf doc had them on it permanently due to their history of elevated liver enzymes, even though they have been normal for a while. Anyhow, just wondering what everyone else has found regarding opinions on this. Abriana's birthday is Friday, so they even had a wrapped present with card signed by all the staff for her (a new doll and a large 'ty' stuffed kitty). I was impressed, very sweet. And Bradyn got a beach ball. The person who bothers me the most is the nutritionist. She is always so concerned about Bradyn, the big one, because he has food allergies. He is chubby for goodness sakes. I swear this woman has 'never' set foot in a health food store in her life and she is a nutritionist. Ugh. Then she doesn't ask any questions at all about my skinny child. Anyway, that's my only gripe. They do have a social worker there too, we see her almost every time, but mostly she just gabs with the kids. She did a wonderful job of helping entertain them the day I had to go alone with both kids (hard to watch them when you are trying to have a conversation with the doctor). My baby turns 4 in 2 days. And she is starting preschool this fall. I can't believe it. She has never been in day care, and only babysat by her grandma's and aunt. She will be fine, *I* am the only one who may not be, lol. :-) Sorry for such a long rambling...I'll go now. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
