Guest guest
First has anyone else having trouble getting into this Group? or 'replying' to a post? It took me 3 days to get this far. I'VE BEEN 'FAKING IT' SINCE I WAS 8YRS OLD!! I'm good aren't I? LOL! 'Tommy' you didn't need the fusions, my Back 'Fused' all on it's own, as the disc's wore down, the vertebrae grew together between themselves. In every which way, even grew 'Bone spurs', if a nerve got hung-up. I have to wait until it works itself out. My legs won't work, or arms, I drop a lot of things. Mom worked 2-3 jobs, depending on me a lot, as I got older, with my own family, I still did everything, even car & home repairs. I can see why many people didn't think my back was as bad as I would say. I would put ice in a elastic back brace & keep on going, they never saw me on the pot or running in the house to 'throw-up', from the pain, or a few personal things I put up with. A year or so I fell on a plastic crate, went to my G.P. for x-rays, I was having trouble breathing. For years I told him about the pain between my shoulders. They all said: 'If we can help your lower back, that should help your upper back'. WOW! was my G.P. surprised to see how bad my 'Kyposis' had gotten. It's growing less then an inch from my spine. He gives me a worried look & askes, 'What are you going to do'? Well I told & told him & the P.T. for yrs, now where is that, is it a bone? Going to do? My grandfather had a 'Hunchback', I thought it was from the way he sat and watched T.V. None of my 2 aunts who are alive have it, my sister & I do, I don't know about my brother, a long story. I'll have to find out more about it, can it grow past my spine and damage organs in my chest? Anyone know? I wanted to answer some members, if my computer will let me eat something and come back. My back needs a rest. FAKING IT is harder then most people think. Is it 'Kayland' that wishes she has a wheelchair? No one here knows how to vacuum, or clean anything here. I get to do that tomorrow, from a wheelchair, it's tricky. FAKE IT!! & FAKE IT GOOD!! Think we should change the name of the Group? Something like: 'FAKING IT? Guest guest
Faking it is super hard and takes soooo much energy. Energy we need to manage getting through the day! I hate faking it, but often feel I have no choice. It seems no one understands enough and/or wants to pick up all the time for the tasks that do me in. At least we don't have to fake it with this group. I am gratefully for others that truly understand the daily struggles of the chronically ill. Big gentle hugs to all, Tami > ktynanny wrote: > I'VE BEEN 'FAKING IT' SINCE I WAS 8YRS OLD!! I'm good aren't I? LOL!
