Guest guest
Hi All, I went to see my primary physician today and talked with him about what happened under my pain doctor and the experience with Savella. I told him I am back on the Citaliphram (Celexa) and I want to be back to stable. Right now I do not feel competent to make a decision on this and I really want to get back to feeling like myself. He listened intently and said that I could keep building up on the Citaliphram to the 40 mg and he wanted me to take half a dose of Amitriptyline and to see the rheumatologist who diagnosed me sooner rather than later. I am waiting for a call for my doctor's office as to when that will be. Right now my only appointment with her that is set is in January 2012. So tonight I will take the Amitriptyline for sleep like I had before and it might do something for the pain. However, my doctor Elavil as it is also known is an older medication that was used for fibromyalgia and it could be raised to a higher dose. This I know had not been done before with me. Usually when this one was called up by a doctor for me to use it was for sleep and when my sleep got stable or it stopped working I was taken off of it. My doctor said to take 25mg cut the pills and see how it goes for a week or two. If it helps the pain up it to 50mg. He further told me that the rheumatologist could change things when I saw her or maybe she would leave things be and raise it moreor set other things for me to do like physical therapy. I still have the appointment with the pain doctor set. My husband does not want me to cancel that just yet. He wants me to wait several days and enjoy a break I am taking to go somewhere in the state I live in. So I will take this prescription to go away Friday. Hi Christy I hope the change in medication helps asap. Taking a break is a good idea. It sounds like you certainly need it. Kaylene
