Guest guest
Dear FORUM, Sorry to comment in a very rude way. I watch women coming to us from UP and Bihar for delivery and gynaecological problems. I watched that women are used for pleasure and child producing machine. There is no concept of health care by husband for wives. Unless women activist raise voice no change can occur, Do not keep more hopes from CM Mayawati or Nitish kumar Dr Deepti Dongaonkar ICTC incharge, Cama Hospital, Mumbai e-mail: <ddongaonkar@...>
Guest guest
Dear FORUM, Re: /message/8817 I think this is the fact. And, this is the problem not only limited for Bihar and UP but also in the interiors of Maharashtra where there's lack of education. Here in the villages, where I'm working; most of the men are working in metros like Pune or Mumbai for their livelyhood. They come back to their native places once in 2-3 months. While in cities, many of them are visiting CSWs and are infected with HIV. From them their wives are getting infected and even some children. They are not even aware of the condition they are suffering from. It is time to educate them and let them have more options for treatment and contraception. Let them know that they can choose wheather to bear the child or not. I am really surprised to see the level of unawareness on these issues in spite of so many govt programs and campaigns. NGOs please come forward... Let us work on grass root level..
