Guest guest
Hi Darlyene, Welcome to the group! I'm sorry you live in so much pain daily and have been through so much. I'm very glad to meet you though! :-). This is a wonderful group of people and I love opening my email and seeing messages from this group. I don't know how you work three 12-hour shifts as a nurse when you are in so much pain. I have head to toe RSDS/CRPS, among a few other chronic pain conditions and the only job I am able to handle for the most part is the job I do have. I am a people greeter at Kmart. I sit at a little table by the entrance to the store and welcome people. It's a part time job, but it's a job I'm so very glad I have. :-). I have been looking for a second job or another job because I just cannot afford to live like I've been having to. Anyways! I also enjoy having my little job. It has it's ups and downs of coarse, but my ex husband didn't want me to work outside the home, so having a job is great. It sometimes helps to take my mind off my pains, or at least ease them up. Plus, I've met some wonderful people and have become friends with customers to co-workers :-). It's very nice to meet you, Darlyene! I look forward to chatting with you! Gentle hugs! :-) Love, Becky in NM Darlyene wrote: Thank you for accepting me into the group.

I think that I have hurt for so long that I don't know how bad I really do hurt. Does that make any sense? I remember being thrown from my horse and the severity of the muscle spasms being so bad that I would cry out when one of the spasms hit me. It didn't matter where I was. The spasms, over the years, have completely reversed the curve in my neck. It took 30 years of muscle spasms to do that damage. I finally had a cervical fusion to get the bones off of my nerves but the spasms are still there. Nothing stops them. No amount of medicine stops those spasms but they have ceased to hurt. Now there is just a constant soreness across my upper back. So I think with the evolution of my body I have adapted to most of the pain but with my low back and hip there is no adaption left in me. Thank God that I was able to have the procedure, last week, that has allowed me to stay on my feet. I am scheduled for the Sciatic injections this Friday. Haven't heard what that will cost me yet. UGH. Darlyene
